ABOUT Mrs. Reavis
Upon becoming an art educator, I discovered a passionate love for advocating for the visual arts and sciences, as I understood the two to be very closely linked and both absolutely relative in academia and in modern culture. I devoted much time to research in connecting the two, validating the arts as part of an academic curriculum in public education. And as an art educator, this has become my mission. I have spoken several times at the Georgia Art Education Association Conventions and I have written published articles on the topic.

I want my students and parents to know that I not only advocate for the arts, but I advocate for the student. As their teacher, I want to help them find their artistic voice and influence them to achieve higher skill and ability in understanding the visual arts.
